How can you start an OET Speaking role-play when the card indicates you've just examined a patient?

We've had two great questions come in about how to start an OET speaking role-play when the card indicates that you are halfway through a consultation.

Imagine this: the card tells you that you've just finished examining a patient, so should you introduce yourself and ask them why they are there? That would be really strange, wouldn't it? It's not something we'd do in real life, so it's definitely not something we should do in the OET speaking sub-test.

We'll take a look at a couple of examples in this OET speaking lesson, and look at what you can say instead to start off the role-play. We'll also then take a look at some possible cue questions to help diagnose asthma.

Here's the link, we hope you find it useful:

If you have any questions, do let me know.

Best wishes,
